The conditional If?
The if conditional in English helps us to talk about hypotheses in the past or conditions with their future consequences.
The if conditional is used to talk about:
- Things that could have happened.
- Things that may have happened.
- Things we want to happen.
Example:
- If you water the plants, the plants grow. – Si riegas las plantas, las plantas crecen.
- If it rains, the backyard gets wet. – Si llueve, el patio se moja.
